After giving a sleeper hit Kalavani, Sherali Films has come up yet another sleeper hit which has come in as as a surprise to everyone. Also producer should be commended for believing in a new director L Suresh who was an assistant to Balu Mahendra. Vimal also played the role to perfect which makes this movie a surprise package.

Vimal plays the role of a rural dude who plays all sorts of tricks to borrow money from everyone and never returns them. He plays several tricks to avoid lenders from catching and that is the crux of this movie. In this whole game he meets Sanusha and as usual after several small fights between them they fall in love.

Vimal's father is insulted for his son's debts and pledges his own house to settle the debts. He gets a job for Vimal as a debt collecting agent in a bank and in an attempt to help his sweetheart, his mischievousness cost him much more than money when he takes possession of Sanusha’s sister’s gold chain. How he gets out of trouble and whether he marries his sweetheart is the rest of the movie.

Vimal fits perfectly into this role of a rural dude. Even though this role looks familiar to his earlier film, he has secured his place in the movie industry as a low budget hero who can deliver good returns. Sanusha and Vimal are an appealing pair and Sanusha had a good role to play which she didnt fail. Singamuli and Mayilsami along with Vimal has made the comedy sequences totally enjoyable. Villan is also a new comer and didnt look like a new comer. Music by Taj Noor, not worth mentioning except for one song - 'Kadana kodutha' which is peppy and differnt.

A new script/storyline directored by a new director with several new faces is a bold attempt and that bold attempt has been well paid off. This movie stands out completely from the traditional hero centric, punch dialog filled Tamil movies. Audiences and the movie industry should support such bold attempts.
